Posted in goth on July 6th, 2009 by adminThe goth culture had some of its beginning in the early eighties music scene which was an offshoot of the British alternative subculture that was developing at the time. The gothic themes of the macabre and the supernatural are reflected in some of the goth imagery and fashion that many in the goth subculture have embraced…. dark clothing in black and red, victorian and medieval era symbolism and jewelry and clothing, interest in the gothic literature of the late 1700’s, romantic vampirism and Dracula and the blood fascination of Bathory, these are familiar Goth imagery, but the genre has developed to the point where it is not restrictive, and has interesting subsets such as the cybergoth look which can often include alien type bright colors and tubes as accessories.
